WHere is a home-style interpretation of a drink found on the seasonal drinks list. This is a large-volume pre-mixed which is bursting full of flavours of a Christmas time, rendering it perfect for hosting a festive gathering. Save the extra cordial for morning drinks, sweets, or to make more rounds of the drink.

Serves 10 servings
To make the Clementine Cordial (produces 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
For the Cocktail (yields 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (see above)
Whole cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Method
For the Syrup: Combine the listed items inside a pan, bring to a simmer, agitating until the sugar dissolves. After that, take off the stove allowing it to reach room temperature fully. Transfer into a clean bottle, close it and store chilled, where it will keep for up to a month.
To make Premix: Pour the specified liquid ingredients into a sizeable container, leave to sit for one hour, then pass it through best through cheesecloth, making it completely strained.
For serving: Pour 85ml from the cocktail base into your cocktail shaker containing ice, and stir carefully for one minute to chill. Strain into an frosted cocktail glass or equivalent, decorate with some cranberries adding the final touch using a quick spritz of the essential oil over the drink.
